Purple line in butt crack?!

Anyone else heard or had the purple line in their butt crack when they started to dilate ?

Okay so I googled it. Its definitely a real thing. I have not been checked yet but have been having contractions for a little over a week now and I know shes engaging cuz I can feel her headbutting my cervix. I had my husband check for it. Lone and behold, it's there alright. He said mine is quite long and hes not sure it's not always there. Lol. I'm gonna have my doctor check me at my next appointment. I'll be almost 37 weeks.

I have heard of it, but I've also heard that it's not a reliable indication of labor progression
