Never been checked!?

This is my 5th pregnancy. I am 29 weeks and my doctor hasn't checked me this whole pregnancy ...has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?

I’m 16 weeks and haven’t had to put on a gown one time. They said they avoid anything related to putting on gowns unless I’m displaying any sort of symptoms. They even had me do my own chlamydia test 😆 some places just like to be as minimally invasive as possible and let us women take things into our own hands. There’s no reason for a cervical check in the first 8 months of pregnancy really.

I didnt have my first cervical check until 37 weeks.

My doctor checks to see if my cervix is closed every time (she uses a speculum, not her fingers). She also checks the pH to make sure it's normal.

My midwives won’t do cervical check unless I’m showing symptoms of preterm labor—- or I’m in labor. No need until wayyyyy into your third trimester.

I wasn’t checked with my first at all (until labour). There isn’t a need usually unless there are problems.
