pregnancy and vaccinations
hi ladies i am pregnant with my 2nd child and the ob stated that they now offer for you to get a shot for whooping cough to prevent the baby from getting it when they are born i guess its been common in 6 months olds in the last year or so. so its supposed ti help prevent it. it wasnt something offered with my first and im coming up to 20 weeks and the option to have it done is while your like 24 weeks so im just curious have any of you had this option did you do it did it affect your baby im worried if it will cause problems. im not looking for a debate on vaccination for your child. im looking for true advice, experiences for any who have heard of this thank you :)
EDIT: thank you ladies i have no problem getting it i just was worried if it would cause a greater problem i have always been up to date on my shots and my sons as i know the risks of some potential viruses i had just never heard of this before im glad its more common then i thought my husband and i discussed it when we found out and we agreed i would just getting closer to the weeks to get it and nerves started to get the best of me again thanks ladies :)
