What is so great about essential oil diffusers?

Everyone has been non stop talking about them and I am just wondering what is so great about them! 
Are they safe for infants? What are the best ones for diffusers? Could I use them to make my house smell good? Are there benefits?

Be careful and do your research before using lavender around kids (mainly boys) it has been shown to alter their hormones.

Lavender is scientifically proven to help relax baby (assuming the have no allergies to it). There are many other uses that are legitimate. I use an oil blend for migraines that does help immensely. I’d do some research online. I don’t mind diffusing with a lower quality oil, but I’d never use those oils on my skin. I do really like Plant Therapy. It’s more affordable, and still has rigorous testing standards.

They help w relaxation, headaches, hangovers, sleeping, coughing at night.. depends on the type you get. Only use YoungLiving or a true therapeutic oil brand, not the crap from a big box store. They make them for kids like Gentle Baby from YL.  Lots of good info online.

I use mine for my daughter’s migraines.  She has a special blend from the chiropractor that eases them almost instantly.  Other than for that, it just sits there and I use my scentsy instead.
