do you shame or look down upon women under a certain age who are pregnant? for example under age 20? or possibly lower?

Well idk if this is shaming but I don’t think having a baby as a teenager is a good thing

I don’t necessarily think I judge because I know a 17 year old mom could be better than a 30 something mom, however I feel sad for them. I’m 26 and married, financially stable and who I was as a teen and earlier 20s is not who I am now, I’m thankful I had those years to be young and wish more woman weren’t in such a rush to grow up.

Shaming them, no. But i do think to myself that it's very young and how much life there is to live independently and individual growth that can be achieved during those years that will not be the same with a baby.

I first became a mum at 19. I have three kids now and I know a lot of other mums that had kids when they were under 20. I'd never shame them in any way. I think it doesn't matter how old you are to be a good mother.

Obviously I don’t think any 16 year old or any teenager who’s not independent SHOULD have a baby. But once they’re pregnant, what’s done is done. There’s no point in telling someone they’re too young to have kids when they’re already having a kid. So no, I don’t think anyone who’s not financially stable should have a baby, but I will not judge someone who is pregnant for their age. That’s just dumb.

I don’t think I judge someone under 21 on their age per se but in some, not all, lack of *real world experience* and maturity. I had friends and cousins have children at 21 or younger and were promised the world by their baby daddies then turned to struggling as a single mom with the baby daddy going mia. So I guess in some instances when I see younger ladies rush into ttc, knowing someone less than a year, I hope for them all will go well and they thought it out.

I think well at least they chose life and an age doesn't make you a good mom.
