I would say, if you’re worried about gender disappointment, definitely don’t do a reveal. Even if you sneak peak, you still have a 50/50 chance to be bummed and may not go away in time.

Gender disappointment ? As in you’re disappointed about the gender of your baby? Uhh you shouldn’t do a reveal then, and it should be something you find out in private so you’re free to react whatever way you want. Also maybe look into why you’re disappointed in the first place? It’s still your baby

Don’t peak and possibly try to be excited for either gender ? Your baby is your baby no matter what and loves you. I remember wanting a girl so bad before I found out and I ended up having a boy, I almost cried from happiness, I didn’t even think about being disappointed, I was just happy to know what my baby is💙💙

I was worried. I wanted so badly and seriously thought I was having a girl. I was terrified I would be upset in front of everyone but honestly...it was so emotional being able to out a gender to my baby. When I saw blue I just felt joy. I was thankful, and so overwhelmed with love!

Please don’t let the hateful comments make you feel guilty about asking. Gender disappointment is real, but for the vast majority of women, it’s very temporary, sometimes lasting only a few seconds. I really wanted a boy this time, but I knew she was a girl from the beginning. I wasn’t sad that she was a girl, but I had a moment of wondering if we’ll ever get a boy, especially since we aren’t sure if we’re having more kids. I would prep mentally for the baby to be the opposite gender of what you’re expecting/hoping for, and then you’ll hopefully be excited either way. I’m not sure I’d peak, though. If you feel so inclined to do that, I do have to agree that doing a reveal publicly is probably not the best plan.
