Baby shower ??

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and I’m not sure if I want to have a baby shower me and my husband are in the process of buying  a house and I don’t think I want to have any other expenses. Plus I’m pretty sure I would have to organize the whole thing since nobody has offered yet ..my mind is pretty occupied these days .. but I’m really conflicted ..🤔🤔 should I ?🤷🏾‍♀️

I didn’t do one because I knew a lot of people who weren’t going to come anyways. If you think you’re going to get a lot of gifts then you should do it because it will help you out but I skipped mine because I knew I wouldn’t get gifts and the cost to throw one would be more than what I got back. The people that wanted to get me gifts still got me gifts too so it all depends.

I don’t think you’d regret having one, but you could regret not having one if you’re undecided. Have you got a Mum, MIL, sister or best friend you could ask to help you organise one? Bring it up casually in conversation that you think you may want one and see if they offer to help! They may assume someone else is helping you out. And it doesn’t have to be an expensive day xx

I honestly wish I wouldn't have had one. I had mine on Sunday that my mom and a friend threw for me. There was only 8 people there including myself. Pretty much nobody showed up and only 2 people got anything for the baby. I ended up crying for 2 hours after everyone left because I've thrown multiple baby showers for people and gone to almost every single one I've been invited to and never saw one with such a poor turn out. I was looking forward to my shower because I spent 3 years trying to have a baby and did fertility treatments and I never thought I'd be able to have kids so this is a miracle to me and I just wanted to have that special moment that I've seen everyone around me get. I'm grateful to the people that did come but I just wish I hadnt even had a baby shower.

We did a coed bbq housewarming/last hurrah  before baby comes. Did some food and drinks and that was it. It wasnt meant to be a like a baby shower just time to spend with friends and people ended up bringing gifts anyways (to be honest was expecting any andxwasntbtge purpose but very nice of them).
