Everyday words turned into racist words?
My husband used the term renege when talking to a colleague about someone going back on their offer. He meant it with professional intentions, but was accused by said colleague of being racist, as he said it is used as a street term (renigged). What do you think about average words being turned into something can come across as racist? Have you come across a term you thought was fine that someone else did not take that way?
