Gestational Diabetes?

So I had my sugar test today, and apparently I failed it and they're saying I have gestational diabetes. I have to do it again soon to make sure. 
My doctor didn't explain anything about it, she just said we'd discuss it at my next appointment if the 2nd test is the same. So....I'm at a loss. 
What do I do now? Diet suggestions?  Advice? Anything?

Did you do the one hour or a combined 1, 2, 3 hour test where they drew multiple times?

i read online on one of my baby apps that most people fail the first test. doesn’t mean you have it. so just wait until the 3 hr test to get the results. only about 5-10% of pregnant women have gestational diabetes. no need to worry.

I had gestational diabetes during my pregnancy. I failed my 1 hr miserably. I didn’t even do the 3 hr test best my levels were so high during the 1 hr til I automatically was classified as having GB. Your doctor should explain to you about getting healthy and he will put you on a diet. If dieting doesn’t work then your doctor will either prescribe you the pills or insulin. I ended up being on insulin and having to check my sugar levels 4 times a day. Now that I am 11 weeks PP I am perfectly fine. My GB went away

I failed both gestational diabetes testing. I had to meet with a dietion and she told me i had to check my sugar 4 times a day...one before i eat, 2 hrs after breafast, 2 hrs after lunch and 2 hrs after dinner. My sugar had to below a certain number. She also gave me a list of food that are good and what isn't good. Checking the sugar part was a pain. I am pregnant with my second and i am hoping i dont get it again but they say if you have it with the first you will probably have it with the second 🤷🤷
