20+6, bradycardia at anatomy scan
We had our anatomy scan today, and it started off amazing. Baby boy was yawning, playing with his toes, and just downright adorable. I’ve attached a picture of him kissing his knees and playing with his lil feet!
The tech said his heartbeat looked great at 132 beats per minute, but then he had intermittent bradycardia- his heart would drop down to 50-70 beats per minute, and then go back up to the 130s again. Doctor said this is the only thing of concern, as everything else looked perfect. We now have to see a maternal fetal specialist to get a higher-tech ultrasound and echocardiogram to see what the underlying issue could be.
Has anyone had similar experiences? Please share your stories! This is our rainbow baby after a miscarriage at 10 weeks in September, and he is an absolute blessing. I’m trying so hard not to be anxious, but it’s tough..
