Can you overfeed solids?
My son is 6.5 months old and we started on solids about a week ago. He loves eating! He’s had oatmeal cereal, sweet potatoes, broccoli, spinach and applesauce. My question is can you overfeed on solids? He just seems to eat a lot more than what I’ve read babies are supposed to be eating at this age. We offer him the spoon and he opens his mouth and eats it. When he stops opening his mouth we stop feeding. So we aren’t forcing him to keep eating. But he takes around 1/4 cup of solids 3 times a day. This seems like a lot to me. Is he just a really good eater or should we be giving him more milk? He is ebf other than the solids. Thanks for any advice! FTM here.
