Cervix check?

So I’m 34 weeks and starting my weekly appointments this week. will my doctor check my cervix at my upcoming appointment or do they wait until 36 weeks or more? I don’t really see the point in getting checked and I’d like to opt out if possible. But just curious as to when they start?

I'm not at that point yet in my current pregnancy and it's been 3 years since my last pregnancy so I dont quite remember but I think 36 or 37 weeks was when they started cervical checks. And you can absolutely opt out. It's not necessary.

I believe that's still early to check unless you have a condition to cause concern for early delivery.  Otherwise you can always refuse until you are comfortable!

Mine wanted to start at 36 weeks but I said no. I’ve said no every week since. But next week I’ll be 39 and I may let her, still deciding
