Breastfeeding and baby sleep
So I’ve been EBF our three week old son. He sleeps max 2 to 3 hours at a time overnight. Everyone keeps telling me that he’ll sleep better and for longer stretches with formula and that he mustn’t be satisfied with the breast milk. This is discouraging to me because I’ve been working so hard to breastfeed and pump for my baby and I feel like everyone is suggesting I switch to formula to get more sleep. I go back to work at 8 weeks at which point I’ll be more concerned with getting more sleep. Are breastfed babies able to sleep through the night the same as formula fed or am I setting myself up for chronic sleep deprivation?
