Do we all have an ex we will never stop loving?

Question

Since this is a app where we talk about different topics i want you all to share your experiences or if you can relate with the topic?
Do we all have that ex we will always love?
Have you ever had an ex you have a lot of history with and that you ended things because in that moment you both had different things going on...
But you both never stop really loving each other regardless of other people? 
Haven’t seen each other in so many years then you both see each other again? This person or you have a recent bf or gf? 
For some reason you still feel the same regardless of these new people....
Is it bad that you want your ex more then your current recent partner??
Or have you ever felt like “I know this new girl/boy won’t last” because you come back to their life???
Kind of going through this...
Has anyone else?

I did. His name was Justin and he was in the Coast Guard. We actually met on Instagram 🙄 (of all places) but our first date he drove an hour from his base to pick me up. Went to dinner and a movie, we had talked maybe two months before I even agreed to meet him. By the end of our first date, we had our first kiss, and he told me he could hear my heart pounding (it was)
After that it was that. I seen him every weekend when he had off. We both had a child from previous relationships but his daughter was in Texas (he was stationer in Va) so he spent a lot of time with my son. Took him trick-or-treating with me. After awhile we knew we loved each other and he finally said it to me and we talked about how he was eventually going back to Texas and the only way my son and I could follow was if we got married. And we both loved the idea. My family loved him, my son loved him. But he wanted to get full custody of his daughter before spending money on a wedding, which I respected. He went back to Texas (I sat and cried outside for an hour after watching him drive away) and that’s when we fell apart. Neither of us could handle the long distance, it was entirely too painful. Eventually we said we loved each other more than we had ever loved someone (besides our children) but we had to split. It was very painful and we eventually had to remove each other from social media just because seeing the other hurt too much. 
I’m not with another man and we’re excepting our first baby together, and we planned on getting married next year but our bean is pushing it back some. I’m genuinely happy, but I think of Justin often and I miss him just as much as the day he left.. think he’s back with his daughter mom which I’m happy for them, just sometimes wish I was in her shoes. I still have our photos locked away from anyone’s sights been almost two years I just can’t let them go. I don’t think I’ll ever get over him.
Last I spoke to him he had gotten a tattoo for me, a heart with a dagger in it, always called me his dagger because I was an unexpected feeling/wound to his heart. I was happy he still thinks of me and always will, but I guess everything happens for a reason.

My first boyfriend will always hold a special place in my heart. My brother died on our first date and he stayed by my side through an awful time. Not many 15 yr olds would have done that. We haven't spoken in years but I sincerely wish him nothing but happiness in his life.

I used too think that my ex is someone I'll love forever. But when I met my husband and got treated the way a woman deserves to get treated I realized that he's an ex for a reason and he (my ex) doesn't deserve my love. I don't have any feelings for him anymore. I don't love him, but I also don't hate him. I just feel nothing.

I feel this way about my ex husband. And I’m positive that he felt the same way even though we both had gotten remarried after years of separation. He passed away last year though, and it was really tough on me.

No... I think about my ex and I'm like, "Oh God, what was I thinking?" This is how morbidly ashamed I am that I ever even kissed the booger eater, okay?? If anyone ever says to me, "Hey is your name, ______, didn't you used to date so and so," I'm gonna be like, "Ummm no.. my names not, ________. I don't know anyone by that name, sorry." If I ever bump into him, like, EVER, and if he starts trying to talk to me, even if it's just to say, "long time no see," in that god awful narcissistic voice of his, I'm gonna be look slightly confused and be like, "I'm sorry, do I know you?" I'm gonna flat out be in denial about EVERYTHING!! In fact, I'm gonna stop even commenting on these posts about exes because as of now, I wouldn't even know the slightest thing about exes so... I can't help you, sorry. I don't have an ex... and I will deny having one until the day I die! Lol!

I used to think so, I thought we were going to be married high school sweethearts. I actually hoped after we broke up that maybe we'd eventually get back together, but then I met my husband and I realized I didn't want to be with anyone else bit him. My sister actually came across a news article that featured my ex, he had robbed someone and assaulted the home owner....so I'm glad things didnt workout between us.
