I’m a sophomore and my boyfriend is a junior we have been together for 10 months

It’s getting close to prom season and I really want to experience that with him. I haven’t really talked to him about it because I know he doesn’t like dances. My friend(sophomore) got a boyfriend(senior) this week and got asked to prom yesterday. I’m not gonna lie I am kinda jealous. It’s not my prom so I don’t feel like I have the right to make him go or even influence him to take me.

What should I do?
