Braxton Hicks?

Hello, I’m 16wk5d and the past two days I’ve been feeling twinges of pain on my left side. This is my first pregnancy so I’m not sure what I’m feeling 😩 I read that Braxton Hicks can start around this time so to anyone who’s been pregnant before and knows how it feels, could you possibly explain how it feels? Thank you in advance!

It sounds like round ligament pain. Braxton Hicks are practice contractions so you’d most likely feel them in your stomach. It won’t be painful either, just uncomfortable. Like baby is curling in a ball in one spot or like your stomach is getting tight and hard. Basically a contraction without the pain and without the dilating of your cervix. For what you’re describing, it sounds like round ligament pain, which is normal. Look into getting a belly support band. They help!
