Question for ladies who don't ovulate

I've seen a lot of posts about clomid, metfomin... etc. to help women with PCOS ovulate.

How is it that you determined you were not ovulating? OPKs, BBT or did the doctor do a test? Lack of periods?

Any information is helpful.
