I'm 39 weeks pregnant today and went to my midwife to get a supposed 'stretch and sweep'. I was so excited because I had not had Any labor symptoms (ie. No pelvic pain, no back pain) this whole month. So I knew I needed to do something to get the process going in order to not pass my due date. But all the midwife did was stick her finger in, tell me my cervix was dilated at 1 cm and then take her finger out. There was no stretching and no sweeping. Is this what it's supposed to be like? Do you think her just touching my cervix without actually moving her finger is gonna due anything? I'm really upset because I feel like it won't do anything, and my next appointment with her is at 40 weeks so if I don't give birth by then I'll likely be induced at 41+ weeks because my midwife likes to take her time with everything. Am I stressing too much? Or do I have the right to worry.

Also I've done many things to get labor going. Sex, walking, eating dates, drinking raspberry leaf tea, pelvic stretches.... Nothing really did anything.
