How and where do I get my babies SSN ? I signed a bunch of forms in the hospital gave everything they said they needed to them . They left me with two papers to give the health department (I think) but one has to be signed infront of a notary , where do I find a notary ? The papers are "acknowledgement of parentage " and a birth certificate application. When I turn them into the health department will they give me a SSN ?

I was on a lot of drugs in the hospital and just now 15 days after my son was born am remembering that I even had to turn these forms in. I hope this didn't screw something up .
