Should I be worried?

I had my anatomy scan today and everything was good but the u/s tech saw a bright spot on his heart. I’ve had the counsyl genetic testing and everything came back negative. Of course I’m worried about the possibility of a chromosomal disorder ... my doctor said it’s nothing to worry about. Should I persist on more testing or trust what she said? Praying for a healthy and happy baby. 💙

I wouldn’t so much worry about what the tech said as much as what the doctor said. If doctor isn’t worried, then chances are that things are good. Especially with negative blood work. What you could do is request another ultrasound at your next appointment to check on the spot. If its not a genetic thing, it usually resolves over time.

Hi! I had my anatomy scan a week or two ago and had the same exact thing except my baby has two of the spots. I cried of course but they have to tell you anything they find, she told me i shouldn’t worry and it’s more than likely fine. So I got the chromosomal blood tests right after and the results came back a week later low risk for all of them so I am not going to worry anymore🥰 she as well told me her second baby had the same thing and she also cried because she of course knows it’s a soft marker for Down’s syndrome & her baby came out fine!💙 don’t stress mama. 
This is unrelated to your post but I go back in three weeks to look at his heart further because of a small hole. My brother and my brother in law both have major heart defects. So I’m praying!! For your little one as well, I have faith.

The same thing happened to me. This is the second time. My first baby had the spot as well and all was ok the third baby has one now I just found out after scan this Tuesday. It is common I was told and I plan to do genetic counseling.

If he said not to worry then I wouldn’t especially if you personally don’t understand what it means. Hope your mind eases

This happened with my last pregnancy. My doctor said it's very common and to not worry. I worried the entire time, but I'm happy to say my daughter was born 100% healthy.

I had the exact same thing happen. Bright dot in heart but all other features normal and generic testing was low risk.
Still worrying about it though. Like you not sure what to do they didn't even put it on my report
