I have irregular cycles but I usually ovulate and I always confirm with temping. This cycle I ovulated cd 48 and last cycle it was cd 51. My dr. Still wants to put me on clomid and metformin because I’m not ovulating at the regular time. She says because I’m ovulating late, it’s not “quality ovulation”

So what does that even mean? Are my eggs bad because they’re released so late or what? My periods only because long the last two months. Before that, they were every 27-43 days. So I ovulated earlier on. Advice? Info?
