Ftm not dropping before labor?

Question

For moms who have delivered before, did anyone not drop before they went into labor? I'm 39 weeks and I don't think I've dropped, but the baby's head is in my pelvis but his butt is in my ribs.... Is he just stretched out? Maybe he's too long to drop?

My OB has been practising for 30 years and he says only 60% of women drop before labour.
I was all stressed about not dropping, but he said I can still go into labour any time!

I dropped with my first but I’m in the same boat as you just now. Head in pelvis bum I my ribs. Although my bump still looks pretty high. I have a very long torso so she’s stretched right out in there!

It’s not uncommon to not drop until you’re in labor, so don’t worry! My stomach has dropped a lot, but baby’s head still isn’t engaged yet 🤷🏻‍♀️ just make sure you’re being transported laying down in an ambulance if your water was to break and baby isn’t engaged yet
