How early should the nursery be ready? (Anxious Momma)

I’m nervous the baby will come super early and we won’t be ready. Some babies are born as early as 24 weeks. What do you guys think?

I’m 18 weeks haven’t even bought a thing for baby lol much less set up a nursery

Whenever you feel comfortable. If you’re anxious, there’s no reason you can’t get it done early. Ours is pretty much done (furniture and wall decor, not small things), but we had to redo the whole room so we just went ahead and did all of it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine wasnt done for my first until 32 weeks. If baby is born that early they will be in the NICU for a while. Also, most people have baby in a bassinet in their room for the first couple months with all the night feedings so the room doesn't have to be ready asap

Ours will be ready by the end of this week. I'm 15 weeks. And I'm a very impatient person and wanted it all set up

Oh, man. If your baby is born at 24 weeks, you'll have way bigger problems than the nursery (and the baby will not be coming home from the hospital right away). I say wait.

Don't stress. I didn't really do up a nursery. I just up a crib in his room. My soon never used his crib in our first place we moved when he was 7 months old to our current place andset up his crib and he's been sleeping in his room since. He is almost 14 months old. Before he slept in his pack and play in our room so you have time. 🤷 This baby I'm just setting up a second crib in my sons room. I think I'm setting this one up as a toddler bed since son will roughly moved to a toddler bed when this one comes. Instead of taking apart the crib a bit to make the current one a toddler bed 🤷 I do need to get a dresser and would love a cute little rug. Along with taking their door off there room as it's a closet door (weird, stupid apartment) and set up a tall baby gate to allow more air flow into the room along with heat and Ac when summer hits.  Our kitchen one directly flow into their room. And once my son's in the toddler bed he can't escape the room til mommy comes and gets him. As with the door now he can easily push open 🤦
But sorry off topic. Take your time don't worry if it isn't done by the time baby is here.

With my first, I had it done like by 20 weeks. Then I was so insanely bored the rest of my pregnancy! This time, we are moving two months before we are due. So I’m just going to wait until then 😝 But whatever makes you feel comfortable is what you should do 🥰 there is nothing wrong with getting it all set up and ready ❤️

I’d say get it done when you can but don’t wait too long. With my last pregnancy I had them early & had nothing ready. I had to do everything after getting out of the hospital & trying to heal. I won’t be making that mistake this tome around. I hope to have everything done by 24 weeks or so. At the very least have the crib, mattress, dresser & glider (basics). Then I can take my time customizing throughout my pregnancy.

I’m just doing it slowly, I have a crib and dresser and changing table....I haven’t started with the decor yet. I’m 17 weeks. I would like to have the basics before 25 weeks or so then use the rest of my pregnancy to make it cute ☺️
