When did you all tell your family about pregnancy

Question

Basically the mother-in - law has wanted a grandchild for as long as I have been with my partner (she only has two sons. 34yrs and 22yrs) I think anoucing it on Mother’s Day to her would make her so happy. But I’d only be 7 weeks and 4 days!! I want this so bad so wanted to wait till 12 weeks. I’m currently 3 weeks and 4 days so I’ve found out really early and just don’t want anything bad to happen! :(
Also i wouldn’t tell anyone else (not any of my family ) till 12 weeks. What would you all do?

I told my family the same day I found out. I knew there was a chance something could happen but I knew I needed their support during that time. I was freaking out 😅. The baby was planned but I was just freaking out because I didn’t think that it would happen so quickly and I have lots of health problems. Lots of women wait until 12 weeks or even further along to announce their pregnancy and that’s completely fine. Tell them whenever you feel comfortable :) congratulations btw and I hope you have a happy healthy 9 months 💗

We told our family around 6 weeks, and waiting until 12 to tell other people. It’s nice to have people around you to be supportive whatever happens. And sometimes it’s hard to hide that something is different! I was so exhausted with both babies in the 1st trimester, had strange food aversions, and stop drinking coffee and alcohol!

My MIL was with me the night I took the test. She told me for a month I was pregnant. And finally said "I'm getting you a test." Lol.

My last pregnancy I told everyone when I was only 5 weeks because I was so excited and I miscarried soon after. So I’m not telling anyone this time until I’m in my second trimester. I also feel whatever meant to be will be. So you can wait and tell her or you can tell her on Mother’s Day. Either way. Wishing a Healthy & Joyous Pregnancy.

I would tell her! That would make her day! We told my sister and husbands brother first at like 5 weeks. Then I did something special to tell my mom for her bday (I was about 7 weeks) and we told the rest of the family then. Finally when I was around 10 weeks it was my birthday and that’s when I announced to everyone.

We told our parents and siblings a week after we found out(only reason we waited was because that weekend was my brothers wedding and I wasn’t about stealing his thunder). We both knew that we wanted to tell them as soon as possible but also considered waiting until after our first appointment just to make sure. but we told them sooner because if something were to happen they would be the people we would run to first for their love and support. Our families were ecstatic, it’s my families first grandchild and my husbands families 8th. Both sets of parents cried and were so happy. It was nice having them know and for the extra prayers during the early stages.

I suggest telling close family early and waiting to tell friends and more distant family publicly at twelve weeks. I just think family would want to be there with you, healthy pregnancy or miscarriage.

We didn’t say anything until 14weeks only two people knew about our pregnancy up until then. Idk if I would recommend that. It caused a lot of drama with my mother not knowing and my sister 🙄

I miscarried before getting pregnant at 6-7 weeks so when I got pregnant again I was terrified. And I spotted for the first couple of weeks so we waited til 12 weeks. 
I’m glad I waited, being anxious I wouldn’t be able to handle talking about it all the time with anyone other than my husband.
But if you really want you could tell just immediate family that day and tell them to now say anything till 12 weeks

I told immediate family and close friends right away. I figured - if something happened, who would I need support from? And I told those people.
