Happy birthday Levi 🎈💙

So my waters randomly broke on 2/3 at about 9pm. Small gushes/trickles. I was 39 weeks exactly with first baby. I was also due to be induced for large size im 2 days after that.

Went to hospital to be checked and they said all good to return home until contractions started.

2am and BANG contractions 5 mins apart and regular.

By about 7/7 30am i noticed them intensify and decided to go to hospital. Hot shower and heat back making me feel queasy by this point (i drove myself 😂😂 its only 1km away and partner has no license)

Vomited on arrival to ward and was in tonnes of pain. Midwife got me admitted and i was 2 fingers dialated. (Pretty devod after 5 hours of pain).

Started nitrous and straight away it wasnt cutting it. After a while Contractions were minute on, minute off with lingering pain in between....told the midwife i would like an epi ASAP, and got it about 10am. Virtually Instant relief!! So amazing!!

An hour later i only dialated to 3cm despite epidural and IV hormone drip. I had spiked a fever and heart rate was about 150bpm. I didnt feel or look good.

Doctor noticed my baby boys heart rate shoot up to about 150 as well, when his baseline had been 110-120bpm. She decided she wasnt happy to continue and recommended an emergency c-section.

I was terrified but listened to my doctor! So glad i did, i was hearing my boy cry for the first time about half an hour later... everything happened so quickly that i didnt have time to stress really.....
