Baby shower?

This is my third baby and I was curious about a baby shower or what? Idk if I feel up to having it but would like to have some kind of celebration for this baby.

I’m having my second and just having a big lunch with family and friends💜 if they want to bring stuff, great! If not, we don’t care because we have everything and it’s another boy :)

This is also my 3rd baby. We haven't had a newborn in our house for almost 5 years. After #2 we were done or so I thought & I got rid of EVERYTHING. I just found out this week my mother & mother in-law is throwing me a shower the end of June. If the people invited feel its rude then they wont come. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had a shower for my first, but it was literally just friends. I was young and a single mom and most family members weren’t super supportive. Fast forward four years later, I was pregnant with my second and married, so my sister in law threw me a baby shower for mostly family, but some friends attended as well. The family I married into loves spoiling the kids in the family. So even though I’m not planning on having a shower, I’m going to have some kind of party to celebrate (if we have a boy, we have two girls). If we have another girl, we will do a sip and see. But this is in no way to get gifts. We still have a lot of big items from our second. But if people want to gift us things, we aren’t going to turn them away.
