When test OPKs?

I don't get positive OPKs but BBT shows ovulation. Before I mention this to my doctor, can I know what you do? I've maybe just missed a short surge?

I personally have a VERY rapid surge, and I test (up to) 4x a day (crazy i know) but if I dont test 3x, I'd surely miss my surge! Something to consider.

When the directions say to. Different tests say different times. Using fmu on a test that uses afternoon urine wont give you accurate results and vice versa.

I do first morning urine and when I’m close, test again at the end of the day so I don’t miss my surge. A fertility educator told me to do them in the middle of the day though

My doctor said you should test twice per day to give you the best chance to catch your surge. Once in the morning or afternoon, once in the evening, between the hours of 8am and 10pm is best.
