IVF Multiples?

So have any of you have experience with implanting multiple embryos? I'd like to ask my doctor to implant just two, for better chances of at least one, and we'd welcome twins if it happened. But my impression is they seem to prefer not to?

It is riskier to implant more than one. There are so many more health risks for you and the baby/babies. In the UK they won't do it unless absolutely necessary.

My doctor will not do two. He said the pregnancy chance increases only by 6% and they dont like to risk babies health for that 6 percent

We did two embryos for our first transfer (fresh)  I was 21 at the time.  Neither took.  Our doctor will do up to 2 but prefers not to.

My doctor will transfer two after one failed cycle. I’m not sure if my chemical pregnancy is going to really be considered a “failed” cycle but I am going to try to transfer two next time as well... lol baby dust💕❤️

My doctor said he would transfer 2 at my age, unless we only want 1. I’m 37 or will be by the time of transfer.

I’m 40 so they will want to transfer more than one. I think age has a lot to do with them transferring more than one.

My doc has to follow an algorithm based on age, number of IVF attempts and embryo quality to determine how many they will allow. I have no clue yet where I’ll fall on the chart but I’d like to transfer 2 as well.

I’m in uk & my doc said due to my age, 37, we can choose to transfer 2. We still haven’t decided. All we want is 1 miracle baby. I think it depends on their grades? I’m not sure at this stage, my stims start tomorrow.

My doctor transfers 2 embryos to increase the chance that one will stick. But he will transfer just one if that is what I want.
