16 days late- what is going on, has anyone else experienced this?

Liz

So I'm really not sure what's going on- has this happened to anyone else before?

I'm 16 days late for AF- the past 2.5 ish weeks I've had on and off nausea (some days worse than others) back aches galore, on and off cramping (leading me to think some days AF was going to show up, but hasn't), watery discharge the entire week i was suppose to get my period, and really the past 2 weeks there have been some days i felt i could fall asleep in the middle of the day I'm so exhausted.

Even with all this- BFN after BFN. The last test ive taken was Saturday (2 weeks late), still BFN.

Here's the new development- Saturday night when I wiped (sorry if TMI), there was a yellowy tinted color to thick discharge. I thought, ok- maybe this is the start of my period, so I put a very light tampon in. When i took it out the next morning, there was a little yellowy mucus on it, that was it. False alarm maybe? IDK.

So Monday rolls around, I'm coaching at lacrosse practice and all the sudden feel like AF is coming (i had been cramping all day also)- I go to the bathroom- nothing when I wipe, odd. I put a light tampon in because I'm worried, and don't want to be caught on the field with AF showing up. When I get home later and take it out there's a very small amount of light pink blood at the tip of the tampon, but that's it... like a cotton candy pink color. Slept without a tampon or pad Monday night- when I went o the bathroom Tuesday morning, NOTHING when i wiped. wth.

Any other time I've started "spotting" AF has shown up within HRS, especially overnight. I've had "tinted CM" since Saturday... its now Tuesday and no AF.

What is going on? Has anything similar happened to anyone else and you were pregnant? DH and I got so excited when AF was missed, but with every BFN test we get a little less hopeful. when I was 2 weeks late, i was going to make a Drs appointment- but then I started getting this weird tinted CM & light spotting.. so I thought maybe my AF is starting? well.. now its been 3 days of this, with no AF starting.

Help!

I’m more than 2 weeks late too and still bfn. Not sure what’s going on, experiencing the fatigue/discharge (watery, sometimes stretchy egg white) just like you. Still keeping fingers crossed, though hopes are diminishing with each negative test.

The lightheadedness went away, thankfully. 15 days late today. Had stretchy discharge that was slightly green. It was a one off thing, keeps getting weirder this cycle. I suppose not spotting anymore is a good thing?

@Jean Absolutely! Still no af, and not even spotting anymore, and not really cramping- maybe just off and on... doesn’t feel consistent. I felt super lightheaded yesterday morning- not so much today, hope you feel better!

Hope you’ll get some positive news soon. Would love to get updates. My menses is still not here yet, though I woke up feeling lightheaded.

sounds like a late period is coming but just an irregular one. however, unique situations do occur so a better answer might come from that doctor visit. just commonly, by this point, it’s too late for implantation bleeding, and hcg should’ve shown up if you’re pregnant. however, there are occasional posts on here from people finally getting a bfp weeks after getting bfns after a late period. best wishes to ya

Thank u! Yeah this has just been a very weird cycle in general, especially because I am usually very regular. Drs appointment has been made for Monday the 11th- so we’ll see what happens in the meantime 🤞🏻I’ve read lost of posts about later positives as well, but not getting my hopes up. Lol
