How many of you got your blood work back and it said that you were a carrier of the gene? Did your baby come out with it? I'm so sad..

I'm a gene carrier.  The next step you need to do is have your s.o. get tested as well.  My husband luckily isnt a carrier.  We are 32 weeks with our fourth and none of our children have cf

I am a carrier, which surprised my mom because she didnt know she or my dad were a carrier and neither knew of CF in the family history.  My husband was tested but is not a carrier, so none of our children will have it but may be carriers as well.

I am a carrier and my husband found out he is a carrier for the same mutation. Because of that our children have a 25% of having cf 50% of being a carrier and 25% of being neither. 
If you and your spouse both have the mutation then they can do an amniocentesis to check baby.

They test your husband also then if you both of you have it them they prepare. But it’s very rare either way.
