Medicines while trying to conceive

I’ve been trying to conceive for months....and I haven’t had a period in 8 months, because I have PCOS... so when I went to my OGBYN she proscribed me Norethindrone. Take it for 8 days and you’re supposed to start your cycle within the next 3-7 days after you finish the pills. Me and my husband have been very sexually active trying to conceive and i was wondering if my fertility chances would be higher after taking the medicine and having a cycle. Anyone’s thoughts and opinions on this, or even this medicine??
