Is it okay to eat rice cakes?

I bought rice cakes flavored with Carmel and Google search says that you should stay away from rice whole pregnant, but I love rice!

STAY OFF GOOGLE. There’s a site for literally every food telling you not to eat it while pregnant. Almost anything is ok except too much caffeine and too much of certain fish because of mercury levels. Keep an eye on your salt, sugar, and caffeine intakes and you’ll be fine! I ate anything I wanted including cold deli meat and sushi and my baby was perfectly healthy. Everything in moderation.

In some countries, rice is a staple of the diet. Do you think pregnant women there just stop eating?

Well I mean women in India, China, Vietnam, South America be eating rice all the time and their babies are fine...

Everything in pregnancy is not unsafe! You are going to have a LONG pregnancy worrying about little things like that.

Maybe they mean cold rice that hasn't been reheated properly? That's a problem for everyone, not just pregnant women. But I agree with the rest of the comments; don't make yourself crazy!!!

The only time I was told to stay away from a lot of rice is when I found out I had gestational diabetes and it’s full of carbs.  But other than that rice is good for you. And yummy.
