Been there, not with my family because they are awesome. But my husbands family, we cut his mom out of our life which eventually lead to his sisters being cut out too. Best decision we’ve ever made. Once they were completely out of our life’s didn’t have to see or hear from them anymore we realize how much better our life is and how much abuse we dealt with that we really didn’t have to.

If someone treats you like shit they don't deserve to be in your life. Period. I don't talk to my own mother because of this. No regrets. I have been much happier since I made the decision. Surround yourself with people who are positive.
