Will a doctor only prescribe you something when you’re pregnant if you have a fever???

I’ve heard a few people say this, I have a horrible sore throat and nasal congestion but no fever, if I go in will it be a waste of my time or will they give me something for it? Currently taking Tylenol Severe Cold+Flu but I am not taking it consistently bc it contains Phenylephrine which some sites say is safe after 13 weeks (I’m 18w), some sites say it’s best to not take it at all, and some sites people are saying their doctors allow them to take it (its a category C) I’ve only taken it when I feel like I have to have something, so last night at like 10PM & this morning when I woke up at like 8:15 AM bc I’m scared to take it every few hours as recommended
