Yesterday my husband and I had planned going with my mom and step dad to go out to eat. We got dressed and had our kids ready waiting on my mom. Well I had been downstairs getting sippy cups and peeing, everything was normal. Get upstairs and as I’m walking to my room I start feeling warm gushes and when I look down my pants are soaked. My mom called me telling me she was pulling up and I start freaking out, saying my water broke. My poor husband and mom went into panic mode getting my stuff and everyone loaded into cars. An hour later we get to my hospital and they confirm it was my water so we begin preparing for my csection. It was planned for the 20th but he wanted to come the 9th. Everything goes well, they get me set up and in the OR. Surgery started and I start feeling excessive amounts of pressure. Turns out they couldn’t get him out so they had to use the vacuum. They get him out and lay him by me after my husband cuts the cord and they swaddle him. He started sounding raspy so they took him to the nursery to monitor him and see what was going on. My husband of course follows them out and they begin seeing me up. I started blacking out and throwing up. Turns out my blood pressure hit 93/38 at one point. They start giving me medicine in my IV and it got better. Finished with my csection they wheel me to recovery where the pediatrician comes to tell me Grayden swallowed an excessive amount of amniotic fluid and needs oxygen even after being suctioned. Super scary but finally about 14 hours later he’s weaned odd and In my room with me! He’s doing so good and breastfeeding like a champ! His sisters aren’t too happy but they’ll get there! So blessed everything came out okay and he’s healthy. He was born at 37 weeks and 2 days. He was 7 pounds 6 ounces and 19.25 inches long. We’re so very excited to get our sweet baby boy after two little girls. Goodluck to all you March mamas who are still awaiting your bundles of joy!
