So I am 38weeks and pretty much ready to meet our baby girl! So Yesterday afternoon my stomach started to become very painful to touch and was becoming very hard and holding for several minutes. Couldn’t hardly move. So we have it some time, showered finished packing our bags, called the after hours nurse and they recommended going to L&D to make sure Baby was doing alright.

We get there and my contractions are 2-3 minutes apart. My husband and I are starting to come the the reality that this could be it! They check me, 90% effaced and 2 1/2 cm dilated. Ugh! My stomach hurts so bad I could scream. So they have us walk around and will check us again to see if we made progress. They check, no progression. They gave me some medication to help with the contractions and send us home.

Today, we are home, waiting for things to pick up again or for maybe my water to break. Ugh I’m ready, ready to meet this baby girl! But I know this is something I can’t control and she will come when she is ready. 🌈👶🏻🧜🏻‍♀️
