Too soon for baby to be clingy right??

So my baby is going to be 4 weeks old and throws a fit when I'm not holding him. I don't know what to do

Babies are born without the sense of self. Essentially, they view themselves as an extension of you. They were literally a part of you for nine months, and now they are experiencing so many new and scary things that they come back to the one thing they know, you as a part of themselves, for comfort. So they aren’t clingy, they’re just still attached to you.

Nope very normal. They know your sent sound touch! You are litterally their whole world right now. My son(my 3rd) is 6 weeks and if I leave the room he flips. My mil watched him Saturday along with our other two so my an husband go get a few hour break together and he screamed the whole time till I walked in the door 🙄.. it very normal for them to be clingy now

They will never need you more than their first few months of life. It goes by very quickly.

Totally normal.  Newborns don’t know they are on the outside yet.  They need to be close to you to feel safe.
