My husband and I are 38 and with our first baby (we were 36) we decided to get pregnant and by some wonderful, amazing miracle the very next month we were pregnant. So we decided to try for baby #2 in November and I had thought that we had the same thing happen, but despite being late I kept getting a bfn. I had every symptom in the book and was sure I was pregnant, until day 42 of that cycle when I finally got my period. Disappointed, we tried again the next month... although not sure when we should actually try because of the extra long cycle (I usually run 28-30 days on average) the cycle was 46 days long, still bfn.....last month it finally went back to a 30 day cycle and in one week I get to pee on a stick again. I'm having symptoms again so here's hoping.... I did ask my Dr and she said I might've had a blighted ovum ( meaning that I may have had a fertilized egg and implantation but that for some reason a zygote never developed) back in November and that it just threw my body out of wack. There is just no way to know for sure. Not sure where I'm going with my little story, I guess I just felt the need to share. Anyone else go through something like this? Love and baby dust to you all!
