There’s really no info to go on with what you provided.
Did you go to the Er to check to see if you were pregnant?  Please don’t do that.  It raises the costs of healthcare overall and ties up valuable personnel, beds and resources from people who are truly sick and/or injured.  
If you are pregnant, you would most likely still be by the time you went into your primary care physician’s /obgyn’s office for a quantitative urine and blood hcg test.
Emergency rooms are for emergencies.  If picking up your husband from work is a reason to leave early, it was not an emergency.
