Does anyone else’s in laws just not care about your kids or is it just mine?

My husbands family has never met our kids and have shown no desire to. They don’t even know our 12wo exists. 🤷🏼‍♀️ we decided they are toxic and have simply decided they aren’t worth our time or effort.

My MIL didnt acknowledge my daughter's birth. Never sent so much as a birthday card. In return we decided she isn't worth our time. My girl has my mother and that's all the grandmas she needs.

Mine seem to care a ton about mine but not about their other grandkids who are older which I find odd

I have a few in laws that actually care about my kids. But my MIL, one of my SIL’s and my FIL could care less about my kids and it honestly doesn’t bother me in the least. 
My SIL has actually gone as far as to call her and my husbands oldest nephew her favorite nephew on social media (she has 2 other nephews; my son included who’s 8 months) and at first it irritated me. But then I realized that my son will never know her and I honestly feel so much relief from that. 
She has 2 kids (3rd due this summer) and I miss them more than words can describe and love them with all of my heart. But I’ll never see them again.
