Is this normal when off bc?

So I got off of bc on the 26th of last month, and got my period the 28th. My period lasted until the 5th. Last night my bf and I had sex. I work up around 2 am to go to the bathroom and saw a little blood (it was very very light) now it’s like mid period heavy, just without the heavy cramps, which also isn’t normal for me. Normally when I get my period I’m in crazy pain. The only thing throwing me off is I just ended my period 9 days ago. I brought up the sex because this isn’t the first time we would have sex and my period would start the day after, but normally that’s when my period is about to start.

Is it just my hormones and my body getting back to how it was before I got on bc? I wasn’t on bc for to long, it was maybe a month. I did speak with a nurse and she had told me to take a pregnancy test and to keep an eye on the bleeding. I don’t think I’m pregnant so I’m not stressing about getting a test at this moment. I just wasn’t sure if anyone else has gone through this?
