diva cup help

i’ve had my period for a few years now, and i feel like no matter what i always bleed through. it’s not like my period is too heavy per day, but whenever i wear a tampon it goes into the string rather than in the tampon and i hate pads because they always scrunch up when i wear them and they make me feel like i’m wearing a diaper. my question is: is there a specific age somebody should be before using the diva cup? and is it more sanitary than other products? i know i can just look it up on google, but i would rather have the help from people on here that have actually used it :) thanks so much!
