High hcg! Twins?

Hello ladies, I need some help. I have been none stop feeling under the weather and if I dont eat the second my stomach even attempts to grumble it kills. Well today I found out my hcg is 13,725 (36 days from lmp accordimg to babys size) and my baby is measuring exactly 5 weeks. A week and a half earlier I didnt even have a possitive pregnancy test. I am wondering if this could be twins as twins runs on the dads side of the family. Any help would be appreciated!

Hcg doesn’t mean anything about multiples. The ranges vary greatly from woman to woman.

Just for people reading this and saying fathers can’t pass the twin gene to their offspring. The only thing a father can’t do is produce twins himself.

If you mean that twins run in your partner’s family, that doesn’t increase your chances of twins at all. (Fraternal twins are caused by hyperovulation which is something you would generally need to inherit through your family, and identical twins are completely random and don’t run in families). 
Anyway, hcg levels vary widely and it’s probably just that you have good levels for a single pregnancy, but only an ultrasound will tell. Good luck with everything.

Anything is possible but its doubtful. LOTS of singleton pregnancies have high HCG. More singleton pregnancies have really high HCG compared to twins.
Also, identical twins are not hereditary, and fraternal twins (hyper ovulation) can only be past down from your mom, your moms mom, your moms moms mom etc.

My HCG was 55,877 at exactly 6 weeks and I’m only having one. It’s really not an indication of anything but pregnancy and varies greatly between person.
