What is ovulation?

Right now this app says I’m at my ovulation time. What does that mean? Also are you suppose to get discharge at this time?  HELP!

Ovulation is when your body releases an egg. And normally you get egg-white cervical mucus (ewcm) around ovulation. Ewcm is egg-white in consistency, stretchy, and/or slimy/slippery when you wipe. It is your most fertile cm. However, you can also get this type of cm post ovulation due to estrogen. But if TTC, it’s good to know when you ovulate in order to time sex.

Answer

You will get discharge throughout your cycle. Ovulation is the day a fertile egg is released. Around ovulation your discharge will be watery or like egg whites
