What do I do??

I just got a lip piercing about 6 weeks ago. It hasn’t healed. It has greenish puss and is infected. Should i just take it out 😔 or is there a way I can save it and help clean it? I can’t talk to my piercer either. Thx

Don’t ever take out an infected piercing it can make it so much worse. You need to keep it clean and don’t move it around too much. What kind of piercing is it? A warm sea salt wash should work 2-3 times a day.

make sure you don’t take out the piercing!!! Go to the store and buy non-iodized sea salt and wound wash (walgreens brand is the best!) Take a little cup or a big cap of some sort with really hot water and mix the salt in. set the cup on top of the piercing and keep it there for 10-15 minutes. when the infection goes away, clean the piercing with wound wash using a q-tip inside and outside of your mouth twice a day until it heals. Also use a good mouthwash like listerine but make sure there’s no alcohol. My lip piercing never got infected but my navel did, and I used the sea salt soak and it cleared up in three days. I cleaned the lip piercing with the wound wash everyday, twice a day and it never got infected. I really hope this helps and your infection clears!❤️
