Dating behind?

Hi ladies
Had my first ultrasound today and baby is dating about a week and three days behind! There was a steady heartbeat, so I know baby is fine for now. Doc said I should return in three weeks to check whether the heartbeat is still there. And now I am worried. 
Did any of you date behind and still had a healthy pregnancy?

Due dates are an educated guess at best. Try not to worry about it too much momma. Your baby’s heart is beating. Your baby is being nourished by your body. Just soak in the love and wait. The beginning of pregnancy is so hard because we can’t really feel anything (but maybe sick 😂) and we have a natural instinct to protect. You’re almost there. Soon you’ll feel movement and you won’t have to rely on tests to know baby is doing well. Until then just talk to your baby, tell her or him how much you love them and take care of your body. I dated behind by 2 days at our first scan at 7w2d, but I also ovulated two days late that cycle. By the next scan she was ahead by two days.

My first I was suppose to be 9.1 ..but baby was measuring 8.3 .. and doctor wasnt worried ..I now have a healthy crazy 2 year old 😂

At 7+2 I was measuring 6+3, I did fertility treatments so I know exactly when I ovulated so my dates were pretty accurate. By 9 weeks he had caught up to right on track. Early scans can often be a few days behind or ahead, especially if you don’t know exactly when you ovulated. It could also be baby’s growth curve!

Hello. You can’t possibly be behind if it’s your first ultrasound as that’s when they give you the date. Measuring behind can only happen if the foetus is not growing at the rate expected compared with where it was at the first ultrasound scan around the end of the first trimester. It doesn’t seem like there is any issue at all here so I wouldn’t be at all worried. If you mean the date is later than your LMP date then LMP is just an approximate guess and is replaced by the first ultrasound date which is far more accurate. That first ultrasound date is your actual due date :) x

If there is a steady heartbeat, then that's a good sign. Hold on to that.
My due date was moved almost about a week from my 8 weeks scan to my 12 week scan.
If it's really early it's so hard to predict anyway and honestly I would go with lmp due date instead until a later scan.
