Eating real food? 1yr. Old still only wants baby food!

Anyone have success getting their 1yr old to feed themselves? My daughter will pick things up and put them in her mouth but she immediately spits out anything that isn’t Cheerios. She’ll eat pureed food no problem tho...what the heck?!?

Honestly my baby was literally that until about 11 months and he suddenly ate table food really well! It’s still a day by day process though because sometimes he won’t eat something that he actually loves lol and spits it out but on the right track! It just happened and I’m sure it will click for your baby too!

It’s been sow progress for us. Honestly, my LO eats better when she’s at daycare, or if I’m not in the house. I think if I’m there, she knows she can nurse and prefers it. At daycare she eats fingers foods great.  Who knows 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Try slowly heading that way... making the purée chunky, it might be a texture thing. My son won’t touch bananas still because he hates the texture but will eat them if they are in a smoothie.
