How Painful Were EARLY LABOR Contractions for You?

I’ve been having consistent contractions (so far) and I’m just waiting to see if they continue but I’m wondering if they’re not ACTUALLY painful does that make a difference? They feel like very light period cramps right now

I didn't feel ANY of my contractions. I just felt off, and my belly kept getting rock hard. 
That lasted for about 7 hours and I finally convinced my mom and grandma that I needed to go to the hospital (I was a teenager). They'd kept telling me I wasn't in labor, that I wasn't in pain but they took me to the hospital to shut me up. Once we got there the nurses put a monitor on me and I was admitted less than an hour later because my contractions were 3 minutes apart.

Everyone is different- for me I woke up at 1 am with noticeable contractions- went back to sleep till 8am. My partner said I was oohing in my sleep 😊 then I labored around my house: in the bath, on my yoga ball, swaying with my partner/ massaging etc.. went to the hospital when my contractions were 3 min apart at noon and had my daughter at 3pm. My contractions were really intense at the end. I wouldn’t say painful- pain didn’t happen for me till pushing my daughter out and that was maybe 20 min, about 6 pushes  :)

Mine just felt like very light period cramps every 20 minutes or so. I was able to shop, do chores, and even nap through them. They were different than Braxton Hicks, though. They were actually mildly painful, whereas BH just felt like tightening in my uterus, and they came very randomly.

I thought I was having Braxton Hicks for about 8 hours.  I only went in because I was leaking amniotic fluid and baby was still premature.

My early contractions were not painful just annoying. I couldn’t sleep, they’d wake me up. But I wasn’t really in pain. They lasted for about 20 hours, It took that long for me to get from 2 to 4 cms and then I was induced with pictocin. They started to get painful around 6 cms

Braxton Hicks are inconsistent and at worst annoying, not painful. 
Early labor for me is around 4-6cm and those contractions will be somewhat painful. You can talk in between and answer basic questions during. 
The middle and end of labor they are back to back and you cannot walk or talk through them. 
I’ve always been told that a real contraction will stop you in your tracks. Anything else is a Braxton Hicks.
