Scared of Pre-E and HELLP

Hi!

Please tell me I’m just being crazy and my anxiety is creating an issue. This is a long one, so I apologize in advance.

So, back story: I’m 21 weeks as of yesterday. A few days ago, I noticed that I was getting nauseous after eating or drinking anything, anytime of day. This was usually followed by a lot of belching and reflux/some regurgitation but no vomiting. It is often accompanied by a pain or pressure in my chest/upper abdomen (right under my breast area but above my belly button on both sides), and in my sides. It felt like everything I was eating was sitting right underneath my chest. Sometimes I do get aches or cramps in my lower abdomen, but they are usually relieved by passing gas, a bowel movement (which have been looser or at least softer these days), or tums. I know that heartburn and indigestion are common, and I do suffer from acid reflux, but it became a lot more severe sort of suddenly, and was accompanied by a lot more nausea than usual, which worried me. I was also occasionally having pains in both of my shoulders, but more-so the right one. Saw the doctor on Saturday. He said my blood pressure was great (110/64), my urine was fine, he pushed on my URQ to make sure there was no pain (there wasn’t). He said the shoulder pain could be caused by any stomach/diaphragm issue. He thought it was most likely an increase in the acid reflux, and possibly my gallbladder. He prescribed a new PPI for the acid reflux, and ordered an ultrasound for my gallbladder. So a few hours after leaving the office on Saturday, I noticed my eyes felt really sensitive to light and I had what looked like a floater in one of my eyes (kind of like I just looked at a bright light and then looked away). I called the doctor and he said it was likely from eating less or dehydration, but to call back if it persists. It persisted, so I called back, and they had me come in today. They checked my blood pressure and urine (both “perfect” again: BP 108/72). Dr. said eye issue could be ocular migraine but that I should go see an eye doctor just in case. She said she was not worried at all about pre-e or HELLP because my blood pressure was so good, and that’s the only pregnancy related issue that could have cause the eye problem (high bp). I am not jaundiced, I have no swelling, I have actually lost a pound in the last few days, I still have an appetite, my nausea and pains have lessened with the new PPI, my discomfort is not centered in the URQ but does occasionally happen there, I am still urinating a normal amount, I don’t have any unbearable headaches, and my vision is not actually blurry but my eyes sometimes feel dry. My gallbladder ultrasound is tomorrow.

Please tell me my anxiety is creating an issue, and that I’m fine. No one at the office really takes my HELLP or pre-e concerns seriously because “it’s too early” but I don’t want to wait until it’s too late. I have had major anxiety this whole pregnancy, convinced I have every terrible issue from a blighted ovum to an incompetent cervix to BV, none of which I have.

Sorry for the long post, and thank you for reading and responding.
