Did I mistake implantation bleeding for AF!?

Last month I was feeling very off. Everything about my cycle was unusual... I tested at 10 dpo and got a BFN, and then 2 days later I got my period...

I remember thinking that it was very light (I’m used to having pretty heavy and long periods), but I did fill 3 tampons in 3 days so it definitely wasn’t just spotting and I chalked it up to just a lighter than normal period for me.

Anyway, I didn’t think much of it until about a week after AF when I started feeling extremely nauseous ALL. THE. TIME. My fiancé and I split a bottle of wine at dinner one night and the next day I was vomiting (haven’t been that “hungover” since college!). I can barely stomach my morning coffee and I haven’t had any appetite at all - just nausea. A couple of days ago my nipples all of a sudden felt like they were ON FIRE! It’s been 4 days now and they’re still just as sore!!!

I know the only thing to do is test but I feel silly wasting money on an hpt when I just had my period...

Did anyone else find out they were pregnant after having a period!? Not just a light “only when you wipe” spotting but a real period with enough blood to at least leak out of a liner in a day...?

I would so appreciate hearing anyone’s implantation bleeding stories and whether or not anyone here experienced a “period” before their BFP ❤️
